Within the scope of Bursa's green belt, the “Soğanlı Botanical Park” was opened in 1998 to provide the city with plenty of oxygen, new recreational and healthy sports areas.
Soğanlı Botanical Park is a park open to herbal research and scientific studies while protecting the Bursa Plain with 8000 trees of 150 species, 100.000 shrubs of 76 species, 50.000 ground covers of 20 species and 6000 roses of 27 species on an area of 400.000 m2.
The park also has a Japanese garden, an English garden, a French garden, a rose garden, an azalea-rhododendron garden, a fragrant plants garden, a rock garden, color gardens, and shaped plants gardens.
