Emir Sultan Mosque and Complex was built in the 15th century, during the reign of Sultan Mehmed Çelebi, by Hundi Fatma Hatun, daughter of Yıldırım Bayezid, on behalf of her husband Emir Sultan.
Emir Sultan Mosque is the mosque with the largest and most beautiful courtyard among Bursa mosques. The courtyard is surrounded by a wooden masonry portico with 16 eyebrow arches. There are two minarets made of stone in the northeast and southwest corners. The floors of the mosque and the last place of worship are paved with brick and the courtyard is paved with stone. It was completely destroyed in 1795 and rebuilt by Selim III in 1804. Damaged in the 1855 earthquake, the mosque was repaired again and lost its originality to a great extent due to these repairs. Emir Sultan, his son Emir Ali, his wife Hundi Hatun and his two daughters rest in the tomb in the courtyard of the mosque. There are rooms on both sides of the mausoleum.
