Karagöz Museum

Converted in 2007 by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality into a museum, Turkey's first and only Karagöz Museum has two galleries. In the first gallery, the history of Karagöz, the Turkish shadow play, is explained on information boards.

In the second gallery, Karagöz play depictions compiled from the collection of Prof. Dr. Metin And, one of the doyens of traditional theater, as well as depictions of masters such as Orhan Kurt, Metin Özlen, Tacettin Diker are exhibited. In addition to the shadow play performances held in the museum, this heritage continues to be kept alive in our museum to be carried to the future with the depiction workshops for children.
